Today, in unnecessary car shopping with E90M3, we find an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Ignore the horrendous hood and the fact that this example has done 110k miles more than my car and look at the positives.First positive ? It’s a stick.
Additionally , d espite having 156k miles, the interior seems to be in excellent condition .
It’s also cheap. At $15k you can get yourself into the last naturally aspirated M car.
Just do you rs el f a favor, if you do buy it, and replace the ebay badge on the back.
So, anyone want got 15k lying around and have an E90 M3 sized hole in their garage?

Are those E46 wheels, or reps?

I didn’t even notice that until you pointed that out, looks like E46 to me. My brain just glanced over it and thought, style 220s.
Also, this is what you should do to your tail lights:

Nope - honestly think that looks worse.

Hopefully mine would sell for a little more than that...
This would’ve been a steal at the price, but looks like the deal fell though.

Mileage is a bit higher on this one featured on DailyTurismo last week, but it doesn’t have that dumb hood vinyl or questionable wheels and is in a superior color:

Looks quite good for the mileage!

Ooh, that’s very nice. 1-owner?! Pay for a new set of rod bearings and drive it for another 170k miles!

Pshhhh you could get like twenty running Mk3 Jettas for that much.

Personally I think they’re a marked improvement as the tail lights are really the only thing I don’t like about the 2008, but since this is a matter of tastes, I won’t debate you on it. To each their own.

Like the Versa, I also despise the Jetta. This is not for it being shit, no, it’s a much deeper personal hatred. It’s almost irrational, but it is what it is.

That was about my thought as well. Plus, with that mileage, you know someone had to at least attempt to maintain it.

I like em because they're more common in junkyards but all mechanical bits are common to Golfs.

One owner? That’s a NP all day of the week.

On your car, I’d say it’s probably 18-22k, I’d put it right at ~19.5k. If you wait for the right person.
That would’ve been a massive steal. Speaking of steals, you see the 1M that sold the other day?

If my car was black or blue, I’d definitely agree with you. As it is, it doesn’t bother me.

Fair, they just stick out to me. I think it was because the E90 came out right as I was getting into cars and was turned off the original E90 because of the taillights. Ironically, my E92 is a pre-LCI.

Whoa - someone got a nice one.
But like one commenter said: miles + collision + Canada
![]() 04/17/2019 at 11:27 |

I was definitely turned off initially by the taillights as well - clearly, I came around.

*looks in davesaddiction’s garage*
Evidently.
When I got mine I was thinking about an 08 just cause they were ~10k cheaper than the LCI ones. I really wanted to be under 44k, so naturally I spent 50k on one.

Yeah, my budget was $30k, so I spent $40k for my car. No way I was jumping up to a ‘09, as nice as that would’ve been, and I wasn’t waiting any longer either (I was 34 at the time).
Backroadtrip on the schedule for first weekend in May! Need to get a track day on the books, too...

I was 24 at the time when I got mine and I think it was more of a psychological thing than anything else. It was also the first car I ever bought and I really didn’t want to spend 50k on a car. It took me two months to find it and by then I was like f it, what’s an extra 10k? Since 44k was my out the door with taxes and everything number. Have not regretted it.
I need to explore some back roads again soon.

Yes, you do!

156k miles is nothing... the majority of my BMW’s have had 200k+ miles on them.

As long as the rod bearings have been done at some point in this.
